Scott Galen Perry died in Renton, WA at age 70. He was born in Yakima, WA, to parents E.E. “Bud” and Alice Perry. The family moved to Sedro-Woolley WA in 1942. A graduate of Sedro-Woolley High School, his interests as a youth included varsity football and golf, hunting and fishing, rebuilding stock cars and music, especially jazz. Scott attended Skagit Valley Community College and was president of its first graduating class. In 1962 he married Geraldine Hertz, and they bore a son, Scott Galen Perry II. After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech from Washington State University, he became a speech therapist, working with school children in Colorado. Scott received a Masters Degree in Speech at California State University in Sacramento. Further specialized training in audiology allowed him to refocus his career in order to help the hearing impaired. Eventually he established his own successful Ear-Wise Hearing Aid Center in Renton. He offered highly skilled and specialized services to clients for over 35 years, devotedly helping people regain the gift of hearing. Five years ago, Scott married his beloved Nita, and the two live in Kent and have shared life together around their interests in San Juan Island power boating, fishing, crabbing and camping at Ocean Shores. Survivors include wife Nita, son Scott Perry, sister Jacqueline Curdy, brother Eugene Perry, and four grandsons.
