Steve Knapp passed away peacefully on September 3, 2018, at the age of 65 following a courageous 5 year battle against Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Steve was preceded in death by his father George Tracy Knapp and his mother LaVelle Knapp. Steve was surrounded by his loved ones at home, in Renton Washington

Steve leaves behind his fiancée Kim, brother Jim Knapp, sister Linda Graham, nephews Jeff and Tracy Knapp and many close friends who will forever miss his humor, advice and love.

Steve loved life and everyday was a gift that he embraced and passed along to others – he was grateful his entire life for all that he had. Steve would love you to hug your loved ones, respect nature, love your animals, and especially never take for granted that breath of life.

A special acknowledgement of thanks for the exceptional care provided by the U of W medical staff; the nurses and doctors that provided unbelievable support during Steve’s valiant fight. In addition we would like to acknowledge the tremendous support from family and friends who provided comfort and support.
