December 1934 – July 2018

Married to Ron for 63 years. Mother to Claudia (deceased), Shawn, Adam, and the twins, Anne and Amy.

Susan raised her family in Renton, WA and was involved in her community. Early on she was active in the PTSA, member of the Renton School Board for 8 years, Co-President of the So. King County League of Women Voters, and a Chairperson of the Renton Annual Art Show. In 1991, the Renton Elks named her Citizen of the Year. She was later appointed by the Governor as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Renton Technical College.

Later in life, she and Ron moved to Olympia, WA where she worked for the Washington State Senate. She retired at the age of 72 and continued to live life in Olympia until just before her death.

Aside from her civic involvement, Susan enjoyed fine art, theater,opera and travel. She loved her family and a good latte.
