Virgil E. Harrington

Virgil E. Harrington, age 92, died in Seattle, Washington, on October 28, 2010. He was born October 16, 1918, in the Town of Hubbard, Minnesota, to the late Thomas and Ellen Harrington. Virgil served in the United States Navy from 1940-1945. During WW II he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, on the USS Pennsylvania. A Pearl Harbor survivor he attained the rank of radioman 2nd class. On June 1, 1946 he was united in marriage to Kathleen A. Tresnowski in Centralia, Washington. Virgil is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his son Mike, daughter Kathy and husband Rob; and daughters Colleen and Trudy. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Ellen Harrington, son Dean Harrington and daughter Linda Taylor. Virgil is survived by his grandchildren, Lonnie, Kerry, Loreal, Jed, Tara, Tye, Natalie, Zachary, Melissa, Katie, Talor and Kyle. Great-grandchildren are Farren, Brayden, Degan, Titan, Riley, Martin and many friends. We would like to thank the Veterans Hospital, Seattle, Washington for all the kindness that they extended to our father. No service or memorial at our father’s request.
