Born in Miles City, Montana, on October 3, 1928. Passed away June 24, 2024, in Renton, WA.

Shorty graduated from Renton High School. He then married the love of his life, Cleo Beckstrom Forgaard, on September 18, 1948.

Shorty was in the U.S. Army and then went on to work for King County for 19 years until his retirement.

He loved photography and crafts and had a passion for golf.

He is survived by his 3 children and many grandchildren, and great grand children.
