Willis H. Schmeichel

1938-2010

Willis H. Schmeichel was born in Minot, North Dakota in 1938. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1961 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He joined The Boeing Company that same year and had a successful 38 year career in the aerospace industry. Following his retirement in 1998 he focused on enjoying his family and home and traveled extensively with Charlene, his beloved wife of 49 years. He is survived by his wife, 4 children (Jamie, Eric, Parry and Krista), 6 grandchildren, his mother and 3 sisters (Marlene, Leona and Sharon). He loved working in his magnificent garden and was always fixing and creating wonderful things in his workshop. However, his true joy was spending time with his family and friends whom he always welcomed with a quiet smile, open arms and a twinkle in his eye. He will be greatly missed.
