Liberty senior shortstop Eric Peterson delivered a sixth-inning grand slam to break a tie and give the Patriots a 10-3 win against Inglemoor Saturday.
Liberty (1-0) trailed in its season opener from the bottom of the first until the top of the sixth, when the team scored eight runs.
Peterson went 2-4 in the game, with five total RBIs. Troy Colyer went 2-2 with three steals and two runs. Troy Askins went 3-4.
Liberty’s pitchers allowed just one hit to Inglemoor.
