The Denver Broncos traded wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins.
Marshall, who was rumored to be coming to the Seattle Seahawks, garnered second-round draft picks in bot the 2010 and 2011 NFL Drafts. He agreed to a four-year, $47.5 million contract extension after the trade was completed.
Marshall was likely the only impact wide receiver available for trade, meaning the Seahawks will look to the draft to improve on offense.
Mike Sando says Seattle should be bummed about not getting Marshall in the short term, but that the team is probably better off keeping the draft picks since it is rebuilding. Seattle already doesn’t have third-round picks this year or next year.
