Football: Liberty dominates on offense and defense on the way to 38-0 win

Liberty rolled again Friday night, beating Sammamish 38-0.

The Patriots (4-0 overall, 2-0 KingCo 3A/2A) remain tied with Interlake atop the KingCo through two weeks of league play.

Liberty played tenacious defense as Cameron Talley and Alex Kaser each picked up sacks and the group totaled 16 tackles for loss. Kyle Ahrens intercepted a pass.

It was the second shutout in four games for Liberty and the team is allowing an average of just 6.75 points per game. Sammamish averaged 15.67 points per game before the Liberty contest.

Eleven different Liberty players rushed at least once and the team totaled 242 yards on the ground. Chandler Jenkins led the way with 10 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown. He now has 42 carries for 541 yards (12.88 average) on the season to go along with nine total touchdowns.

Quarterback Trey Wheeler went totaled eight completions on 18 attempts for 112 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
