Former Renton High School head football coach Tony Davis was selected to the Washington State Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on March 25.
Davis coached just three years at Renton from 1991 to 1993 for his first head coaching gig of his career. Following his Renton days, he spent 90% of his coaching career at Tahoma from 1994-2021, where he eared league titles, district playoff appearances and state playoff berths.
During his playing career, he played his college days at the University of Missouri before being drafted in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
Davis was one of three coaches inducted into the Hall of Fame this year along with Rocky Patchin and Randy Affholter. The three coaches will be inducted on May 18, in partnership with the Seahawks at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
