Hazen graduate Andrey Levkiv is competing with the University of Idaho track and field team. Levkiv was named to the second team all-Western Athletic Conference indoor in the shot put.

Levkiv won the 3A state shot put title his senior year at Hazen in 2009 with a throw of 59 feet, 1.5 inches. He placed second at state his junior year, and won the West Central District meet both years.

He is throwing the shot put, discus and hammer at Idaho. His longest shot put distance of the 2011 outdoor season is 15.20 meters. His best discus distance is 44.85 meters. His top hammer throw is 44.59 meters.

Eric Bice (Liberty)

Bice is competing in track and field for Cornell this season.

Bice finished sixth in the 800 meter at the 3A state meet his senior year in 2010. He took fifth in the 1,600 his junior season.

His top time in the 800 this outdoor season is one minute, 53.58 seconds at the Spring Invitational at Cornell April 9.

Armin Basic (Renton)

Basic is competing in track and field for the University of Washington this season.

Basic won a state discus title and placed second at the state meet in discus his senior season in 2009. Basic beat every other state competitor in the discus by over 20 feet.

His best distance in the 2010 season for the Huskies was 15.79 meters in the shot put at the Husky Classic.

Boryana Atanasova (Renton)

Atanasova is competing in track and field at Cloud County Community College in Kansas.

Atanasova third in shot put, fourth in discus and sixth in javelin at the state meet her senior year in 2009.

Her top distance in 2010 was 11.05 meters for the shot put.
