Despite the drizzle, four Renton-area golfers qualified for state at the league and district tournaments Tuesday and Wednesday at Elk Run Golf Course.
Lindbergh’s Jennifer Steinhilber shot a combined 167 and finished fourth.
Justin Riccardo shot a 159 and tied for third to give the Eagles a boys state qualifier too.
Renton’s Cindy Lim finished third overall with a score of 164.
Hazen’s Tanner Bartlein shot a 160 and finished fifth, good for a trip to state.
Lindbergh’s Cameron McMullen and Troy Jaramillo finished eighth and 11th, respectively, good enough to make the spring qualifier where they will have another shot to make state.
The boys state tournament is May 27-28 at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.
The girls state tournament spans the same dates at Horn Rapids Golf Club, also in Richland.
