Hazen topped Cedarcrest 7-6 through rain and wind Wednesday.
The Highlanders (6-2 overall, 4-1 Seamount) trailed early but scored seven runs in the top of the fourth. The Red Wolves scored four times in the bottom of the inning to pull within one. The game was called off after five innings due to wet field conditions.
Chadd Garton led Hazen with two RBI’s, Jimmy Schmidt added an RBi for the Highlanders.
Schmidt started and pitched four innings, earning the win. He allowed six runs in nine hits. He struck out four. Nick Sharp pitched on inning for the save.
