Hazen swimmers win Seamount

For the first time in four years, the Hazen girls swim team won the Seamount League with an undefeated league record of 7-0. Lindbergh finished in third.

For the first time in four years, the Hazen girls swim team won the Seamount League with an undefeated league record of 7-0. Lindbergh finished in third.

Hazen coaches Jen Ben, Ashley McAllister and Jake Paulson guided the team to a total score of 339 with the help of district qualifiers  Hannah Atchison, Carolyn Collons, Jade Gensheimer, Elena Kuran, Minhna Le, Kristen LeBar, Emily Lee, Ashtin Luedtke, Clarissa Mitchell, Emma Murdy, Emilie Nelson, Amy Nguyen and Beth Tuschhoff.  Divers Brittany Gesell and Kirsten Timm added the total points by finishing in 4th and 5th place, respectively.

Both teams will compete this weekend at the state meet at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
