Hazen running back Kaleb McGee was named the Seamount League Offensive Back of the Year this week, leading a long list of Renton-area players earning honors for the play on the field this past season.
McGee, a senior, was also named to the first team in the running back category. He is joined on the first team by fellow Highlanders Joe Tryon in the defensive end category and offensive guard Keaton Zykowski.
From the Lindbergh Eagles, defensive tackle Korey Solo, defensive end Jo Jo Serquinia, linebacker Anthony Nehren, defensive back James Duncan, offensive tackle David Baginsky and wide receiver Darrien Sawyer-Lamb were named to the first team.
Renton Indians players named to the first team were linebacker A.J. Solano, defensive back Tahj Bailey, tight end Kevin Nguyen, quareterback Drew Olson and wide receiver Zach Hasson, who was also selected for the first team as punter and place kicker.
Several local players also received second-team honors.
From Renton, defensive tackle Joe Jokonya, defensive end Joseph Wilson, linebacker Toyal Dotson-Goode and offensive tackle Griffin Proctor received second-team honors, along with Solano who was named to the second team as a offensive guard.
Lindbergh linebacker Diego Gallegos and wide receiver Anthiny Walker were each named to the second team, as was Nehren, who made the second team as an offensive tackle.
Finally, Hazen’s Kevin Govea was named to the second team as a defensive back.
