Hazen’s R.J. Magar will play basketball for the Bismarck State College Mystics next season.
Magar led the Highlanders in scoring this season at 14.7 points per game. Hazen won a Seamount title and advanced to the 3A state tournament. Magar was fourth in the league in scoring and led the Seamount in three-point field goals per game, at 2.3.
Magar saw playing time right away as a freshman, averaging 7.4 points per game. As a sophomore he averaged 10.2 points per game. He led the Highlanders in scoring as a junior with 13.8 points per game.
The Mystics compete in the National Junior Athletic Association.
