Hazen senior Zac Kolterman picked up a win and a save at the Area Code games earlier this summer.

The Area Code games try to find the best 240 high school senior baseball players in the U.S. and Canada to participate in front of more than 900 college and professional scouts.

Several colleges expressed interest in Kolterman after the games. He is scheduling visits to Cal, New Mexico State and Oregon. He also interviewed with scouts from the Athletics, Brewers, Cardinals, Rays, Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Phillies, Royals and White Sox.

Kolterman and Hazen’s Jimmy Schmidt played in the Perfect Game Showcase at Newport High School last weekend.
