Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended for six games in the 2010 season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
After his latest transgression, there is growing speculation the Pittsburgh Steelers could trade the quarterback and St. Louis is a possible destination.
The Rams hold the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, so a trade would make sense for both teams. The Steelers would get a chance to draft Sam Bradford to groom a quarterback to replace Roethlisberger and the Rams would get a franchise quarterback still young enough to grow with the rebuilding franchise.
Roethlisberger would suddenly give the Rams the best quarterback in the division. He has averaged 25 touchdown passes to 12.67 interceptions over the past three seasons.
