Joseph Powell leads Renton to big win, Indians now tied for league lead | Boys basketball

By beating Foster 53-52 Wednesday, Renton won its third straight game and moved into a tie for the Seamount lead.

The Indians (6-6 overall, 6-2 Seamount) trailed by four points entering the fourth quarter, but outscored Foster 13-8 to take the win.

Joseph Powell led Renton with 16 points. The total is a season-high for Powell. Josh Jenkins scored eight. Hanley Shum and Laudon Thomas each scored seven.

Evergreen 59, Lindbergh 53

Lindbergh stormed out of the gates, but couldn’t hold in a 59-53 loss to Evergreen Wednesday.

The Eagles (2-7, 1-7) went up 17-9 in the first quarter and led by seven at the half. But the Wolverines came back and won with a 20-11 advantage in the fourth.

James Keum led Lindbergh with 17 points. Derek Roseboro scored 15. David Bowman added 10.
