The Kennedy Catholic Lancers, on their way to the postseason this weekend, rolled over the Hazen Highlanders 51-0 in a match-up of 3A Seamount League teams.

The win earns Kennedy the top seed and will play Roosevelt this weekend. Hazen falls to 2-4 with the loss.

It was a rough start for the Highlanders as Kennedy forced a safety and then returned a fumble 8 yards for a touchdown to take a 9-0 lead out of the first quarter.

In the second, Kennedy scored their first offensive touchdown to take a 16-0 lead into halftime.

But the second half was all Lancers, who picked up a pair of rushing touchdowns in the third and three more in the final frame, all while keeping the Highlanders off the board.

With the loss, the Highlanders fell to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in the Seamount.

Hazen plays Lakeside at 7 p.m. Friday at Renton Memorial Stadium. It is a non-playoff game.
