Hazen swimmer Lauren Kaufman will compete for Texas Christian University next season.

Kaufman won 3A state titles in the 50 and 100 freestyle last fall. Her time of 23.31 seconds in the 50 earned her an automatic All-American bid. Kaufman previously won a state title in the 100 as a junior.

Kaufman finished no worse than third in the 50 free at state in all four years at Hazen. She never finished lower than ninth in the 100 at state.

TCU, located in Fort Worth, Texas, will compete in the Mountain West Conference for one more season before joining the Big East.

Kaufman plans to pursue a major in business.
