Liberty and Lindbergh impress at Eason Invitational | Track & field

Lindbergh and Liberty competed at the Eason track and field invitational Saturday. The Patriot boys placed 18th, with 16 points. The girls team finished 17th, with 19 points. The Lindbergh boys placed 29th, with 11 points. The girls finished 29th, with seven points.

Liberty senior Eric Bice finished second in the 1,600 meter with a time of four minutes, 17.19 seconds. That is his best time so far this season by over six seconds.

Troy Solly placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles. He ran a time of 41.58 seconds.

Liberty’s 4×400 team (Devin Bennett, Joeseph Bergman, Dawson Solly and Bice) placed sixth.

Sophomore Joshua Gordon jumped a height of 6 feet in the high jump, good for ninth. He also finished ninth in the long jump (20 feet, 6 inches).

Bennett jumped a distance of 42 feet, 4.5 inches in the triple jump and finished eighth.

Emily Pestl-Dimmitt finished third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.26 seconds.

Liberty’s 4×400 relay team (Delane Agnew, Elizabeth Ryker, Michaela Chucka and Madison Birdsall) finished third.

Lindbergh’s Frank Cange finished eighth in the 100 meter, with a time of 12.75 seconds. Cange ran 11.39 in the preliminaries.

Trevor Thompson placed sixth in the 1,600, with a time of 4:20.94.

David Bowman jumped a distance of 43 feet, 7-5 inches in the triple jump, which earned him third place.

Sarah Reiter finished eighth in the 1,600 and ran a time of 5:28.75.

Lauren Hunter threw distance of 33 feet, 9.5 inches in the shot put, good for sixth place.
