The Liberty girls soccer team is three games away from a second straight undefeated KingCo 3A/2A season.
The Patriots (12-1 overall, 11-0-0 KingCo 3A/2A) haven’t lost since a 1-0 decision against Skyline Sept. 6, when the Patriots were missing two starters.
Liberty finished 2010 11-0-3 in league play and advanced to the state tournament. This season’s team looks even better.
The Patriots have outscored opponents 50-5. Only twice have league opponents been within one goal (Bellevue Sept. 15 and Lake Washington Sept. 22).
Goalkeeper Macaire Ament has seven shutouts on the season. Kailiana Johnson has 10 goals and eight assists. Kali Youngdahl has nine goals and seven assists. Kiana Hafferty has nine goals and six assists. Cassidy Nangle has nine goals and three assists. Kimi Fry has four goals and seven assists. Shannon Daly has four goals.
Liberty finishes the regular season at home Oct. 27 against Interlake. After that, the Patriots will move into the playoffs and hope to earn their first state tournament win since 2001.
