The Liberty baseball team is off to a rocky start after dropping their first two games of the season to Mercer Island this week.

The Patriots dropped their opener on Wednesday 13-1 and then fell 3-0 Thursday.

No statistics were available from Wednesday’s game.

On Thursday, Liberty was only able to muster three hits against Mercer Island. The Islanders swatted eight hits of their own and put a run across in the top of the fifth and then added two more in the top of the seventh to deal the game.

Liberty is scheduled to play at Sammamish today, Friday and the home against Samamamish on Monday.
