The Bellevue Wolverines proved to be too much for the Liberty baseball team this weekend, beating the Patriots in back-to-back games on Friday and Monday.

On April 3, Bellevue got rolling early, picking up a run in the first and four more in the second for a 5-0 lead. Only one of the runs was earned, however, as an error by Liberty led to the additional runs. Starter M. heath went only two  innings, striking out 3, walking 4 and allowing 2 hits.

The Liberty defense stiffened up after that, however, and reliever B. Munro held the Wolverines to just 3 more hits and zero runs the rest of the game.
