Liberty edges Mount Si; Hazen falls in battle of Seamount’s top teams; Lindbergh drops one | Baseball

The Highlanders (5-2 overall, 4-1 Seamount) committed six errors and gave up eight unearned runs.

David Green went 3-4 with three singles and two RBI’s. Anthony Pina went 2-4 with two RBI’s.

Jimmy Schmidt started for Hazen and pitched 3.2 innings. He gave up seven hits and struck out three. He allowed eight runs (none earned).

Liberty 2, Mount Si 1

Liberty avenged an earlier loss to Mount Si by beating the Wildcats 2-1 Thursday.

The Patriots (5-2, 5-1 KingCo 3A/2A) got seven strong innings from John McLeod in the win. McLeod allowed five hits, one run and earned the win.

Ryan Maio went 1-3 with a double and an RBI for the Patriots.

Liberty and Mount Si each scored a run in the third inning and the Patriots didn’t take a lead until scoring in the seventh.

Highline 16, Lindbergh 1

Lindbergh couldn’t stick with Highline and lost 16-1 Thursday.

The Eagles (3-2, 3-2) allowed four runs in the first and 12 in the fourth.

Derrick Lewis starred for the Pirates. He pitched five innings of two-hit ball with nine strikeouts. He went 3-4 with two runs and six RBI’s at the plate.
