Liberty overcame an early deficit to beat Bellevue 7-5 Monday and stay perfect in league play.

The Patriots (3-1 overall, 3-0 KingCo 3A/2A) gave up four runs in the first, but scored two in the third, three in the fourth and two more in the fifth to take the lead.

John McLeod pitched five innings and earned the win.

Troy Colyer went 2-4 with a double and three RBI’s. He also earned the save. Peter Wiggum went 2-3.

Liberty needed all seven innings to beat Juanita 10-9 March 19.

The Patriots scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh.

Ryan Maio went 2-4 with a triple. Troy Colyer and Nick Hart each hit a double. John McLeod went 2-4 and Jason Hubbard went 2-4 with a double.

Hazen and Renton

Hazen quickly overpowered Renton in a 21-0 win March 19.

The Highlanders scored one in the first inning, five in the second, seven in the third and eight in the fifth.

Chadd Garton started for Hazen and pitched three innings. He allowed no hits and two walks while striking out seven.

John Wall and Brenden Campbell each had grand slam home runs for Hazen. Jeff Beckman, Zach Kolterman and Eric Jacobs all had two hits each.

Lindbergh

Thanks to a big fourth inning, Lindbergh cruised by Foster 13-3 Monday.

The Eagles (2-0, 2-0 Seamount) led 5-3 in the third, then burst out with five runs in the fourth to put the game out of reach.

Tommy Kawamura went 2-3 with two runs, two RBI’s, two doubles and a steal. Isaiah Williams went 2-4 with two RBI’s, a double and a triple. Bakari Davis went 2-5 with three runs, an RBI, two steals and a triple.

Brett Love earned the win, pitching four innings in relief. He allowed five hits and one run.
