The Seamount League’s top-seeded Lindbergh Eagles needed a second-half comeback to beat the Sammamish Totems on Wednesday, but the Eagles will advance to the next round of the regional tournament.
Montrae Gooden-Sevaaetasi led the way for Lindbergh with 21 points, while Jalen green added 15 and Kelton Williams had 12 in the win.
It looked tough for the Eagles early, however, as Sammamish jumped out to a 19-16 lead in the first period and then added to it, taking a 29-25 lead into the locker room.
But Lindbergh responded with a big third period, outscoring the Totems 23-6 to take a 28-31 lead into the final frame and then hung on through the fourth to notch the victory.
Lindbergh moves on to play Steilacoom, who beat Port Angeles 55-43 Wednesday, at 6 p.m. Friday at Foss High School in Tacoma.
