The Lindbergh boys cross-country team placed fourth at the 3A state meet in Pasco on Saturday.
Matt Miland led the way for Lindbergh and finished in tenth place overall, with a time of 15 minutes and 47 seconds. Trevor Thompson placed 14th (15:55), Nate Reitz placed 44th (16:36), Joseph Patti placed 45th (16:36), James Cornell placed 72nd (17:01), Thanh Nguyen placed 78th (17:07) and Nate Tandecki placed 102nd (17:27).
The Eagles closely trailed third-place Bellevue and had a faster average time than the Wolverines by one second. But the Wolverines edged Lindbergh 127-149. North Central came in first and Seattle Prep finished second. Mount Rainier’s Michael Miller won the individual title with a time of 15:18.
Lindbergh freshman Sarah Reiter placed 81st in the womens race with a time of 20:38.
Hazen’s Jeff Hinckley placed 100th (17:25), while teammate Michelle Wnek came in 43rd (19:59) to lead Renton-area girls.
Liberty’s Eric Bice finished 50th (16:42) and Josiah Sherwood placed 90th (17:19). For the Liberty girls, freshman Kaily Davies placed 44th (20:00).
