Lindbergh freshman Joe Kwiatkowski continued his dominant season by beating Interlake’s Luat Le for the West Central District 2A boys singles title Saturday.
Kwiatkowski went undefeated through Seamount play and his only loss of the season came in a non-league match against Seattle Prep.
He stormed through the district bracket before topping Le 6-3, 6-2 for the district title. Kwiatkowski will compete in the 2A state tournament May 27-28.
Lindbergh’s doubles team of Adrian Villanueva and Sam Bayna fell to Washington High School’s team Saturday 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 but still earned fourth place in the district tournament and a state berth.
Renton’s Theresa Vo fell to Interlake’s Maggie Locke 6-2, 6-2. Vo ended up just short of the state tournament. She beat Lindbergh’s Quinn Osborn in the previous round.
