The Lindbergh Soccer team finished third in the state tournament this past weekend, completing a remarkable turnaround for this year’s senior class that did not win a single game as freshman.
Lindbergh’s dream of a state title came to an end Friday with a 2-0 loss to Quincy in the semifinal at Sunset Chev Stadium.
In Saturday’s consolation game, Lindbergh beat Sehome 1-0 to earn a third-place finish.
No statistics were available from either game.
The Eagles finish the season 20-1-1 overall and 13-0-1 in the Seamount League.
