The unbeaten Lindbergh Eagles soccer team is guaranteed at least a fourth-place finish in this year’s state tournament and will play their semifinal match tonight with the goal of playing in tomorrow’s 2A state championship game.
The Eagles take on Quincy at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner. If they win, they will play the winner of the Sehome-Archbishop Murphy match-up at 5 p.m. Saturday. If they lose, they will play the loser of the other semifinal for third place at noon on Saturday.
The Eagles beat Anacortes 2-1 on May 20 to earn their spot in the semifinals. Quincy beat Toppenish 1-0 on May 21.
