The Lindbergh softball team swept a doubleheader against Foster Tuesday.
The Eagles (6-4 overall, 6-2 Seamount) won 18-3 and 20-0 in two three-inning games. Lindbergh moved into third place in the league, behind just Kennedy Catholic and Highline.
In the first game, Lindbergh scored nine runs in the first inning, six runs in the second and three runs in the third. Danielle Dano earned the win on the mound. Maria Cornell went 4-4 at the plate with a double. Paula Farrell went 3-4 with three RBI. Lindsey Pfluger went 2-3.
The Eagles scored two runs in the first inning, 13 in the second and five in the third during the second game. Farrell won on the mound. Dano went 4-4 with five RBI. Cornell went 2-2 with two RBI.
Lindbergh has won four straight league games by a combined score of 70-12.
Kennedy Catholic 16, Hazen 6
Hazen fell to Kennedy Catholic 16-6 Tuesday.
The Highlanders (3-5, 3-5) briefly tied the game at 3-3 with a three-run top of the third inning. The Lancers scored five runs in the bottom of the third to pull away again. Hazen scored in each of the final three innings but could never get back in the game.
Kristina Holm pitched and struck out two in four innings. Megan Bridgman went 2-3 with three RBI.
Renton didn’t play Tuesday, but sits at 0-8 in Seamount competition for the season.
Juanita 13, Liberty 3
Liberty suffered a big third inning from Juanita and lost 13-3 Tuesday.
The Patriots (5-6, 4-5 KingCo 3A/2A) trailed 2-1 before the Rebels scored eight runs in the top of the third. Liberty got as close as 10-3, but could never close the gap.
Amber Smith took the loss on the mound. Marissa Jeffers went 2-3 with a double.
