Lindbergh’s James Huff named KingCo Lake MVP

Huff is joined by Abraham Garcia, who was named Coach of the Year.

Lindbergh High School’s James Huff IV was named KingCo Lake MVP on Feb. 11, he announced on his own social media.

Huff not only was named MVP, but was also named Defensive Player of the Year.

The Eagles were 12-9 this season and were named the fourth seed in the KingCo Tournament. Lindbergh punched their ticket to the district tournament that begins Feb. 15.

Over the course of the season, Huff averaged 16.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game.

Huff also had a 40-point game against Highline High School on Dec. 17 in a 67-58 win.

According to MaxPreps, Huff’s 4.3 blocks per game is the third best across the entire state.

Huff wasn’t the only one with some postseason awards. Head Coach Abraham Garcia was named Coach of the Year. Senior John Choul was given first team honors and Lukas Lutthans was named a second teamer.
