Lindbergh’s season ends two games short of state | Volleyball

In his first season as head coach Tom Muckerheide got the Lindbergh volleyball team to within two wins of the state tournament.

The Eagles’ (12-9) season came to an end against Olympic in the West Central District III 2A tournament Saturday.

Lindbergh started the district tournament with a 3-1 win over Eatonville. Eatonville won the first game 25-13, but the Eagles bounced back to win 25-14, 26-24 and 25-21.

Lindbergh fell to North Kitsap in three games in the next round.

The Eagles lost to Olympic 3-1 in the consolation bracket to end their season two wins shy of the 2A state tournament. Lindbergh has never been to the state tournament in volleyball.

Lindbergh went 9-3 in the regular season in league play to finish second in the Seamount.
