Sam Nehren threw six touchdown passes this week as Lindbergh moved to 4-2 on the season and 3-2 in the South Puget Sound League with a 45-27 win over Foster Thursday at Renton Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs got on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to go up 7-0 as the second began.

But Nehren got his first TD of the day in the second, a 17-yard pass to Montrae Gooden, his first of three, and the teams were tied 7-7. But the Bulldogs responded with a 50-yard touchdown pass-and-run of their own and Foster took a 14-7 lead into halftime.

But the third quarter basically belonged to Nehren.

Nehen opened the second half scoring with two more touchdowns to Gooden from 31- and 38-yards out and suddenly, the Eagles were up 20-14.

Not rolling over however, Foster struck back with another 50-yard TD strike to take back the lead 21-20.

But that was when Nehren began to target Anthony Walker, who scored three unanswered touchdowns on passes of 62-, 25- and 5-yards to give the Eagles a 38-21 lead.

However, before the quarter was out, Foster was again able to score on a deep pass and run for a 62-yard touchdown, cutting the gap to 38-27.

But that’s as close as they would get as Johsiah Serquinia ran in a 14-yard insurance touchdown in the fourth to secure the 35-27 victory.

Lindbergh is now in fourth place in the South Puget Sound League’s Mountain division. They travel to take on the 5-1 Washington Patriots on Friday.
