The Renton Indians upset the Lindbergh Eagles 13-6 on Friday at Renton Memorial Stadium to turn all of the the Seamount League postseason seedings into a random draw.
Renton got on the board first on Friday with a 35-yard field goal in the first quarter from Zach Hasson to take a 3-0 lead.
The two well-matched teams traded field position through the second and third quarters but stayed knotted a 3-0 as no one could break through.
In the fourth, Renton extended their lead to 10-0 on a 1-yard touchdown run from Royal Dotson-Goode. Two minutes later, Hasson kicked his second field goal of the night, a 39-yarder to put Renton up 13-0 with six minutes to go.
Lindbergh kept battling, however, breaking through just a minute later for a 2-yard touchdown run from Korey Solo. The team missed the extra point attempt, making the score 13-6 with five minutes left to go.
But the Indians clamped down and held on for the victory.
With the win, Renton, Lindbergh and Foster all finish with a 4-2 record in the league. Because the first postseason game is scheduled for Tuesday, there is not time to play any tiebreakers, leading to the draw for seeding this past week.
