The Renton Indians kept their season alive on Wednesday with a 62-53 win over the Bremerton Knights in the first round of the district tournament.
Dabreon Waters-Mitchel led the way for Renton with 14 points. Shandon Powell added 13 of his own.
Renton jumped out to a 15-11 lead after the first period and then held on for a 30-23 lead at the half.
But Bremerton rallied for a 14-9 third period to make it 39-37 as the teams turned toward the final frame.
But in the fourth, Renton took control, working a 23-16 period to earn the win.
Renton moves on to play River Ridge, who beat Kingston 79-49 on Wednesday, at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Curtis High School in Puyallup.
