The Renton boys basketball team fell to Kennedy Catholic 58-51 Monday. The Indians (8-11 overall, 6-7 Seamount) are now tied with Foster and one game behind Lindbergh in the league standings.

The Renton boys basketball team fell to Kennedy Catholic 58-51 Monday.

The Indians (8-11 overall, 6-7 Seamount) are now tied with Foster and one game behind Lindbergh in the league standings.

Renton led by two points after the first quarter and was tied heading into the fourth. Kennedy closed the game on a 20-13 run for the win.

Lavelle Smith led Renton with 16 points. Jonathan Patterson added 11.

Sammamish knocks Liberty out of KingCo tournament

The Liberty boys basketball team fell to Sammamish 72-36 Monday.

The Patriots (10-11, 5-9) struggled early and trailed 32-11 at the half, and 54-21 after three quarters.

Tynan Gilmore led Liberty with 11 points.
