The Renton Indians girls basketball is still alive following a 46-39 victory over Kingston Wednesday in a District 3 tournament game in Tacoma.
Renton came out strong, taking the first quarter 13-10, but Kingston battled back to take a 24-23 headed into the half.
But Renton swung back in the second half, taking a 32-29 lead into the final frame and bested the Buccaneers 14-10 in the fourth to lock down the win.
Renton will now play top-seeded White River at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Curtis High School. A win takes them to the District 3 Championship game. A loss drops them into the third-place game, but Wednesday’s victory secures a spot in the regional tournament.
