The Renton girls basketball won its tenth straight game against Kingston 59-46 Thursday night.
The Indians (16-4) will now face White River (19-2) for the sub-district championship Saturday at Clover Park High School at 6 p.m. The winner of that game takes the No. 1 seed to districts, the loser earns the No. 2 seed.
Against Kingston, the Indians jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter, then went into the half with a four-point lead. Renton closed out the game with a 22-13 run in the fourth.
Taylor Farris scored 21 points to lead Renton. Priscilla Tuiasosopo scored 17. Jordan Armstrong added 10.
Renton has already earned a bye for the first round of the district tournament. With a win against White River, the Indians play Feb. 17 at Lakes High School at 8 p.m. With a loss to White River, they play the same time at Foss High School.
Lindbergh
Lindbergh lost to Sumner 46-42 in the sub-district tournament Thursday night.
The Eagles (8-10) played a close game that was tied heading into the fourth, but couldn’t pull out the win. Emily Graver led Lindbergh with 14 points. Ciara Johnson added eight.
Lindbergh will take on Olympic (12-8) Saturday at Klahowya High School at noon. The winner earns the seventh seed to districts and plays Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. at Foss. The loser takes the eighth seed and plays the same time at Lakes.
Foster
Foster beat Franklin Pierce 57-42 in the sub-district tournament Thursday night.
The Bulldogs (8-12) have now won four of their past five games. The win also earned the team a berth to the district tournament.
Foster will play Fife (10-11) Saturday at Foster at 12:30 p.m. The winner earns the 10th seed at districts and plays at 8 p.m. at Foss Feb. 15. The loser earns the No. 12 seed and plays at 6 p.m. at Lakes Feb. 15.
