Renton High’s Travino Buckley has been nominated as an Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year for his contributions on the Renton football team this season.
Buckley will now be among a group of players who are eligible to be selected as a national Red Zone Player of the Year.
Buckley is also eligible to be named one of 50 national Players of the Year.
Buckley was a big part of Renton’s powerful rushing attack this season. The Indians finished 6-4 and fourth in the Seamount League. They lost to Meadowdale in the state playoff preliminary round.
Buckley was named to Seamount all-league teams on offense and defense.
Against Bishop Blanchet, Buckley rushed 16 times for 224 yards and three touchdowns, including a 76-yard touchdown.
