Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee is reporting the Seahawks have acquired defensive lineman Kentwan Balmer from the San Francisco 49ers for a sixth round draft pick.

Balmer was selected in the first round (29th overall) of the 2008 draft and has 19 total tackles and no sacks in 27 career games with San Francisco.

Balmer left 49ers camp Aug. 11 and has been unexcused since then.
