Seahawks: Does the team deserve more credit?

CNNSI.com’s Don Banks recently ranked the most successful NFL team’s of the 2000s. The list seems pretty solid, though it’s sure to create some controversy here and there.

My disagreement lies in the bottom four of the list. Banks lists Green Bay at No. 7, Denver at No. 8, Tampa Bay at No. 9 and Seattle at No. 10.

The rationale for the order seems to revolve mostly around overall win percentage, which explains how Green Bay (no Super Bowl appearances, three playoff wins) and Denver (no Super Bowl appearances, one playoff win) edge Tampa Bay and Seattle.

For me, postseason success seems to me to be a much better measure of a team’s prestige, especially when looking at an entire decade. So I would bump Tampa Bay (Super Bowl win) into the No. 7 spot and Seattle (Super Bowl appearance, four playoff wins) into the No. 8 spot.

Any thoughts?
