The Seahawks make their 2016 preseason debut at home at 7 p.m. Thursday Aug. 18 following a short week after their last-second win at Kansas City on Saturday. Seattle faces the Minnesota Vikings this Thursday at CenturyLink Field, their first of two home pre-season games in a row.
Seattle is 16-9 in the preseason under Pete Carroll and had a nine-game winning streak from 2011-13. The Seahawks have posted 2-2 records the previous two preseasons.
This will be Seattle and Minnesota’s 15th meeting in the preseason, with Seattle leading the series, 8-6. The series began in 1979 and the two teams last faced off in the 2011 preseason in Seattle, a 20-7 Vikings victory.
The game will be shown locally on Q13 FOX with play-by-play man Curt Menefee returning to the preseason booth for his eighth season and he will be joined by former University of Washington and Seahawks quarterback Brock Huard in his fourth season. On 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM is former Seahawks receiver Steve Raible in his 35th year of broadcasting, joined by Hall of Famer Warren Moon with Jen Mueller on the sidelines.
