Behind a season-high 25 points from Dawit Kasa, the Hazen boys basketball team beat Highline 62-56 Friday.
The Highlanders (12-3 overall, 9-1 Seamount) hold a one-game lead over Kennedy Catholic at the top of the Seamount standings.
Kasa made 10 of his 13 shots in the game. R.J. Magar scored 19 for Hazen. Brandt Graybeal scored eight points and had eight rebounds.
Tyee 59, Lindbergh 54
After a three-game winning streak, Lindbergh lost its third straight, 59-54 to Tyee Friday.
The Eagles (4-8, 4-6) fell behind 12-2 early, but rallied in the fourth quarter. Lindbergh outscored the Totems 16-8 in the period to forcer overtime, where the Eagles later lost.
James Keum scored 33 points, his second straight game at that total. Keum has scored at least 15 points in every game but one and is averaging 27.25 points in his past four games.
Kennedy Catholic 73, Renton 56
Renton got off to a slow start and fell to Kennedy Catholic 73-56 Friday.
The Indians (8-8, 6-4) are in fourth place in the Seamount, two games ahead of Lindbergh.
Colton Hafey led Renton with 15 points. Darren Briggs added 13 and Jonathan Patterson scored 11.
