According to a report from NFL.com’s Steve Wyche, the Seahawks are one of several teams to make exploratory phone calls about free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens.

Wyche’s source says the calls came at different points in the offseason, so Seattle may no longer have interest after drafting wide receiver Golden Tate in the second round.

Owens is 36 years old and has played for four teams in his career. He spent 2009 with Buffalo, where he caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five touchdowns. It was his lowest yardage and receptions total since 2005 when he played just seven games for the Philadelphia Eagles.
