The Lindbergh baseball team swept a doubleheader against Foster Tuesday to stay on top of the Seamount League.
The Eagles (8-2 overall, 7-1 Seamount) won 15-0 and 17-0 in five-inning games. Lindbergh pitchers allowed a total of three hits in the two games.
Ryan White pitched five innings, struck out five and allowed two hits for the win in the first game.
Bakari Davis went 2-3 with two runs, five RBI and a home run. Cameron Callen went 3-3 with three runs and two RBI. Derrick Holt went 2-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Brett Love pitched five innings, struck out four and allowed just one hit for the win in the second game.
Callen went 3-4 with three runs, two steals, four RBI and a home run. Nikko Kis-Young went 4-5 with three runs and an RBI. Matt Stuart went 3-4 with two runs, four RBI and a home run.
Renton 9, Evergreen 6
Renton topped Evergreen 9-6 Tuesday for its second win of the season.
The Indians (2-8, 2-7) are now in sixth place in the Seamount. The nine runs are a season-high. The Indians scored twice in the first inning, then allowed three runs to Evergreen in the bottom of the first. Renton bounced back with five runs in the second and never trailed again.
P.J. Mattingly went 2-4 with three runs, an RBI and a triple.
Liberty tennis loses to Bellevue, Mercer Island
The Liberty tennis team fell to Mercer Island 7-0 and 5-2 to Bellevue April 22.
Liberty’s Jenny Adam beat Bellevue’s Megan Urquhart 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 in No. 4 singles. The Patriots’ No. 1 doubles team of Audrey LaFraugh and Veronica Granger topped Ashley Conon and Mackenzie Urquhart 6-3, 6-2.
