Renton traded early runs with Mount Rainier, but eventually fell to the Rams 63-51 Friday.
The Indians (8-8 overall, 8-4 Seamount) are now tied for fourth with Evergreen and now hold the league’s final playoff spot. The top five Seamount teams are separated by just one game.
Mount Rainier started the game on a 17-7 run, but Renton quickly answered with an 18-8 run to end the half. In the third quarter the Rams built a five-point lead, then pulled away in the fourth.
Darrin Briggs led Renton with 17 points. D.J. Eubanks scored 12.
Renton hosts Hazen Tuesday night. The Highlanders are currently 1.5 games behind the Indians (and Evergreen) for the final payoff spot.
Hazen 80, Lindbergh 61
Hazen pushed past Lindbergh 80-61 Friday.
The Highlanders (11-6, 7-6) led by nine at the half, then opened a 19-point lead in the third quarter.
R.J. Magar led Hazen with 19 points. Dewit Kasa scored 14. Frankie Johnson scored six and had 10 assists to just one turnover. Brandt Graybeal collected 10 rebounds to go with eight points.
David Bowman led Lindbergh with 12 points. Dwayne Brown scored 11 and James Keum added 10.
Liberty 58, Sammamish 57
Showing a great turnaround, Liberty edged Sammamish 58-57 Friday.
The Patriots (5-12, 2-7 KingCo 3A/2A) lost to Sammamish 81-40 earlier this season.
Chandler Jenkins led Liberty with 13 points.
