Andrey Levkiv continued his strong spring by winning both the shot put and discus at the Pasco Invitational April 18.
The Highlander boys team finished ninth overall at the meet, scoring 20 points.
Here are the full results from the meet.
Levkiv tossed a new season-high distance in the shot put, at 62 feet, two inches.
His discus distance was 161 feet, five inches. That is 13 feet off of his season-high throw April 11 at the Arcadia Invitational, but it was enough for the Pasco win.
Levkiv still holds the state’s top distances in the shot put and discus. His shot put distance is nearly three feet longer than Washington’s second-best and his discus measurement is almost five feet farther than the second-best.
Keep up with Levkiv’s hold on the state’s best distances here.
Levkiv currently has the nation’s fifth-best shot put distance. He’s three feet off of the national leader.
